Mini-Review: An Event Movie that took elements of SciFi and blended them with Asian action cinema sensibilities. Over the top and groundbreaking in execution it not only brought western audiences to the asian action format, but raised the bar on that genre as well.
Mini-Review: A solid launch pilot for what eventually became a groundbreaking series. The series episodes (for the mostpart) eventually become better than the pilot that launched it. Fans of the originally often fail to adjust to this new interpretation- it is truly their loss for the spirit is here (only grittier and smarter).
Mini-Review: A funny, touching movie with soul. It doesn't take itself too seriously and, as such, succeeds. Fun characters pepper this tale of love and growth.
Mini-Review: Surprisingly funny but mindless romp.
Mini-Review: Good, light fun. Arguably not as good as the first one, but bigger.
Mini-Review: Funny but dated take on a brittish 1980's crime story. Great cast.
Mini-Review: Funny and entertaining take on a Friday in South-Central LA. Excellent character performances that should have established a franchise. Subsequent installments have lost their way.
Mini-Review: A solid conclusion to the groundbreaking Lord of the Ring Trilogy. The only negative thing to say is that it justs seems like the Hobbits want to kiss each other.
Mini-Review: Cute, sentimental fun. Typical light 80's humor/actionor based on upsurd situations and characterizations. Popcorn for the mind- not heavy and mildy entertaining.
Mini-Review: I like Sci Fi, Horror, Sam Neil, and Lawrence Fishburn. This movie's combination of these elements is much less than the parts, let alone the sum of the parts. It was 2 hours of my life I will not get back and I regret it.
