Mini-Review: Travolta is a stereotype villain with a bad temper and horrible mustache, and Denzel seems just tired and overstrained %u2013 adequate for his character, granted, but his transition from good boy to avenger is as unbelievable as the fabulous profit Ryder makes on the exchange market or the fact that none of the passengers in a driverless speeding train has the brains to pull the emergency brakes. Another pointless remake.
Mini-Review: A Science Fiction-thriller told in a mix of interviews, (fake) news-footage and conventional movie narrative, and with enough action to keep the audience entertained.
Mini-Review: Not so much Brad Pitt's movie, but Christopher Waltz' and Mélanie Laurent's. If you liked Kill Bill, you%u2019re going to like the Basterds as well, just forget about logic or historical facts.
Mini-Review: Not much hope for a movie based on action figures with a plot where some madmen strive for world domination. But director Stephen Sommers delivers a surprise - a guilty pleasure, but as much fan as you can expect from a mindless action flick.
Mini-Review: Who cares that we have seen this before, as long as the lead characters are likeable and the support cast provides enough laughs.
Mini-Review: There is a slight feeling of Dude, Where%u2019s My Car? Part II %u2013 The Grown-Up Version, but in a good way.
Mini-Review: All in all, the 5 or 10 minute-episodes in Da Ali G Show where Brüno comes from suit him much better than a feature film.
Mini-Review: The plot is as thin as it is negligible, the dialogues are awful, much of the acting sub-standard, the jokes are lame, and the robot fights are not much more than blurs of shapes and colors.
Mini-Review: State of Play is as old-fashioned as it%u2019s lead Cal McAffrey %u2013 which means it comes with a solid plot, characterisation and suspense instead of wobbly-cams and explosions.
Mini-Review: Maybe it would have been better to let the Terminator-series rest in peace instead of continuing it with this Episode-I-like disappointment.
