Mini-Review: Funny in spurts, but very poorly plotted. Wiig is a good character actress but isn't relatable enough to carry a film like this. Also a little strange that the female empowerment movie of 2012 is resolved by the main character taking up baking and finding a good man.
Mini-Review: If I could drop a chandelier on any two characters in the history of film, it would be these two cunts. Unfunny and cloyingly symbolic.
Mini-Review: Of interest only to see where Twin Peaks comes from.
Mini-Review: Utterly joyous, this is like a 95 in my heart.
Mini-Review: Strong style and decent plotting can't make up for character writing that is by turns nonexistent and incoherent. Brooks is a knock-out, though.
