Mini-Review: The cinematography is really good. Some things bugged me, though - like, did we need that scene with the job interview? Felt almost bizarrely heavy-handed. And it's not a good sign that it feels too long at 1 hour and 17 minutes. The structure just doesn't work I think - specifically the sudden shift to bearded dude alone. And the ending, I dunno. I'm torn. Very nice-looking, but it has a sort of student-filmy vibe apart from that. Not sure it's off-putting in the way I imagine it wants to be.
Mini-Review: Silly and instantly forgettable, but it had its charm.
Mini-Review: Gets dangerously close to being a full-blown artwank stinker. Nothing much works in this overwrought, dull mess, but there's some nice photography (and some annoying showiness) and the kid playing young Heathciff was good. I was really ready to love it, but no. Hopefully Arnold redeems herself with her next film.
Mini-Review: Another atmospheric, stylish and anti-climatic horror from West. I like it well enough, but it doesn't exactly rock my world. Maybe with the next one.
Mini-Review: Decent, entirely forgettable thriller apart from certain epically epic scenes.
Mini-Review: Girls certainly can't play football, and Amanda Bynes makes a weird-looking dude. Fail. Channing Tatum really tested my hetero, though.
Mini-Review: Boy was this intolerable. Only watched it through because of Mila Kunis' incredible hotness.
