Mini-Review: Scary concept for a slasher villian brought to great life by Wes Craven. I had nightmares as a child about Freddy because of this movie.
Mini-Review: The acting is great, and pretty much the main reason to watch this movie. Nothing wrong with that.
Mini-Review: A perfect relaunching of the franchise, and thankfully making everyone forget about the last two installments in the series. Bale makes a great Batman, and the rest of the cast is uniformly good (excepting Katie Holmes who is just decent). Can't wait to see where this new franchise goes, hopefully to a Rachel McAdams' Catwoman.
Mini-Review: Charming fable that brough us Gizmo, so it's gotta be worth something.
Mini-Review: A fun and imaginative continuation of the Peter Pan story, with solid performances from Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, and lovely Julia Roberts keep this worthwhile, but it's never going to go into the Hollywood history books.
Mini-Review: A great comic book movie, and starting chapter of the franchise. Tim Burton created a perfect vision of Batman. Micheal Keaton is still my favorite Batman, and Kim Basinger is incredibly sexy in this movie, but it's Jack Nicholson who steals the show as the Joker, simultaneously funny and creepy.
Mini-Review: A classic noir movie that is straight down the line good.
Mini-Review: Definitely one of the worst movies ever, and probably the worst I've ever paid money to see in the theaters. It's just an embarassment across the board, especially to the franchise, and that's taking into account Batman Forever. This makes Forever look like a masterpiece.
Mini-Review: One of Sergio Leone's best movies, that is full of tension and interesting character dynamics. The ending shoot out is unquestionably classic.
Mini-Review: Few movies have aged as well as this good-alien fable. It's a genuinely moving tale for the kid in all of us. With Drew Barrymore in probably the cutest performance by a child actress ever.
