Mini-Review: very goofy, but Peter Cushing adds some much needed gravitas as always, the sets are all really cool, and i like that scene with the guy bashing the skeleton
Mini-Review: pretty much perfect
Mini-Review: if you're into gore or shakespeare or vincent price, this is a blast, and i'm into all three.
Mini-Review: creepy and bleak, one of the best vincent price flicks i've seen
Mini-Review: the book was downright unfilmable anyway, but its kinda sad the hughes brothers came to this
Mini-Review: it's not perfect (the big heist scene is confusingly edited, the vietnam parts feel kinda stagey, and a lot of moments are pretty cliched), but this is overall a really well executed, blisteringly angry message picture
Mini-Review: fantastic hood movie. spectacularly bleak, with two great lead performances and some really conspicuously good editing.
Mini-Review: it's shameful that this is the only almodovar that i've seen, but it was definitely cool enough to make me check out more even tho the end was kinda disappointing
Mini-Review: "four people in one setting are shitty, and they tell each other how shitty they are in detail, all while being unable to see how they, themselves, are shitty." - a movie based on a play.
