"Gene Wilder is terrific, and the cinematography and the music are quite nice, but I think I only laughed twice and got bored after 40 minutes. Predictable humor, wink at the camera, a story that goes nowhere... Maybe Mel Brooks isn't my thing but I found myself wishing the "drama" parts where more fleshed out and then maybe I could have enjoyed it more. Sorry dear PSI of 87."
