Mini-Review: Excellent performance by Brian Cox. I think one of his best to date. I did think that the direction of Tom Sizemore's character for the confrontation on the porch was off. It was not in keeping with his actions during the rest of the film. That's my only qualm, though. This film was a Netflix Watch Instantly choice and a nice find.

Mini-Review: I almost didn't see this, because I cannot stand the Peter Pan story. I'm SO glad I did. It's a shame that Johnny Depp wastes his considerable talent on the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Guess the money's too good to pass up. He is wonderful in this restrained performance, though his accent isn't pitch-prefect. This is the first role I've liked Kate Winslet in. And Porthos was AWESOME!
