Mini-Review: Not too terribly exciting but still decent entertainment.
Mini-Review: The positive response to this movie must come from X-Men fans who feel like it's more true to the comic books, because otherwise I don't know how this movie could be so highly rated. The first two movies had their shortcomings, but the writing lent their stories a touch of realism (I can't speak for the 3rd movie since I haven't seen it). The writing in X-Men: First Class is annoyingly cheesy, sprinkled with moments that are downright stupid. It's like if the SyFy Channel made an X-Men movie.
