Sure, Clint Eastwood probably didnt go into this with the intention of making a pro-war propaganda film, but the movie seems to operate entirely with the assumption that America is the greatest place on earth and the Middle East is full of savages.
Just go watch Sergeant York. It's basically the same thing."
