Mini-Review: Every Israeli seems to love this movie, it has catchy phrases and cult characters. I don't really remember all of it but it seems like a less loveable Eskimo limon with Yosef Shiloakh to me, and I didn't like Eskimo limon.
Mini-Review: This movie had every possible ingrediant to become a horror film, it even had Vincent Price. Instead we get a memorable and original fairy tale about suburbia, Bravo, young Burton. This was also the movie in which I got to listen to Danny Elfman for the first time, and he is responsible for at least 40% of how intense and emotional this movie is.
Mini-Review: What an incredible trip, I'm surprised the suicide rates didn't jump after this movie came out, showing such an incredble, quirky and imaginative afterlife. This is also my second appreciation of Elfman's memorable scores. he was simply born for such movies.
Mini-Review: It's one of the most beautifully looking movies I've ever seen, every shot can be taken as a poster. it's a new take on the old story and has a new premise, which is intriguing. it's not a bad movie, just not a very good one, plotwise.
Mini-Review: It's been a long time since I saw it. that's the first Don Bluth copied Disney that started the rapid comeback of the 90's. it is inventive and funny, has the usual two sidekicks and shows a very softened but still quite accurate version to Andersen's tale.
Mini-Review: Not THE BEST Plympton there is, but it's always nice to see his take on mundane topics, in this case: American Highschool drama.
Mini-Review: A very small movie, like a micro cosmos of the nightmare before Christmas. interesting fresh view on death and afterlife. a bit too many songs, albeit them being Danny Elfman ones.
Mini-Review: A real fan movie, anyone who likes Tenacious D will dig this. this being said it's also mediocre, vulgar, silly and not all that funny. then again it's hardcore and that's all there is to a fan movie.
Mini-Review: Sweet movie about movies. even the usual Jack Black being himself doesn't ruin this too badly.
Mini-Review: There aren't many movies I couldn't watch wholly, that's one of them.
