Bio: I'm a PhD student with a limited experience of all things cinema. Films to me used to be something to have on in the background while I studied, and I would generally watch any old crap that didn't require much attention and was at least mildly amusing or entertaining. Recently I decided to submerse myself into a broader range of cinema, both in style, era, and origin, and I am greatly enjoying it. I am slowly finding the types of cinema which really appeal to me, and understanding better the aspects which I love, as well as those I loathe. I feel I am still very ignorant, and I welcome any guidance from those who are more experienced than myself. Feel free to message me, and perhaps we can become internet acquaintances :)

Mini-Review: The plot, and complexity of character interactions, is done rather well. However, the filming strikes me as very unimaginative, and lacks the flair of Hitchcock's later works. Charles Laughton plays his part brilliantly, and stands far above the rest of the acting. Makes for an enjoyable, but only mildly stimulating, watch.

Mini-Review: Pretty darn awful, no cannibalism (except for a brief encounter with a cannibal tribe). Totally different theme and format, I'd say the title aims to piggy back off Cannibal Holocaust, and while it's a bit of gorey fun, it lacks many of the appealing elements of CH.
