95 The Muppets (2011) - Nov 26, 2011
Mini-Review: This movie was everything I hoped for-- charming, fun, clever, and very nostalgic. I grew up with The Muppets and they will forever have a place in my heart. I knew I could trust someone like Jason Segel, who feels the same love for them, to do a great job and he didn't let me down.
88 50/50 (2011) - Oct 29, 2011
Mini-Review: A lovely film. It has a perfect blend of comedy and drama. You will go from laughing out loud in one scene to tearing up in another. Well done-- it gets better each time you watch.
80 Contagion (2011) - Oct 02, 2011
85 The Help (2011) - Oct 02, 2011
75 Cowboys & Aliens (2011) - Sep 02, 2011
85 Cars 2 (2011) - Aug 19, 2011
Mini-Review: I absolutely adore Pixar's films and I'd love nothing more than to work for this company, but I gotta say, this film was a bit of a disappointment. I still enjoyed it, and the visuals were stunning, but it seemed to lack the heart of the first. Had any other company made Cars 2, it would be a knock-out, but we've come to expect incredible things from Pixar and this simply didn't live up to those expectations.
95 Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011) - Aug 19, 2011
Mini-Review: This was one of the most surprising, entertaining, hilarious, and genuinely heartfelt and original movies I've seen in some time.
98 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011) - Aug 06, 2011
Mini-Review: I admit, I've been rather harsh towards most of the Harry Potter films over the years. I'm a bit of an elitist when it comes to the books, so I've always judged them for changing things. However both Deathly Hallows movies have been near perfect. I wept like a baby during this last film-- it symbolized the end of my childhood and the official end of the most powerful series in my life. Harry Potter changed my world, and I'll forever love the books and, yes, even the movies for it.
88 Paul (2011) - Apr 03, 2011
Mini-Review: Hilarious. Paul was a great character-- the CGI was lovely (especially those eyes of his) and being voiced by Seth Rogen was a great move. As always Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are an incredible acting team and a joy to behold.
