Mini-Review: Daft and a weird mix of styles but let it play (and enjoy the silliness of magic boobies!) and there's actually a nice little story in there which would have made a fair basis on which to base a much more 'classy' film
Mini-Review: A rushed script/production mean that this film isn't really as funny as it deserves to be but it works well enough as an updated Carry On style romp with gags and language that are more vulgar but using very similar humour throughout. This does make for an uneven tone but, with more time to polish the script and sort out the comic timing and flawed tempo of some scenes, it could have been a laugh-out-loud film; sadly it's actaully a few giggles film - miles better than Carry On Columbus though!
Mini-Review: Despite good Jet Li action set pieces and pretty impressive (though now outdated) SFX the lack of plot logic kept rearing its ugly head too often to let me sit back and enjoy them. The multiverse idea was innovative and the premise of 'gaining power' by killing your 'other selves' was interesting, but the script had a lack of internal consistency, telegraphed all its twists and totally failed to tackle the huge questions and plot holes that the central premise demanded it did. Disappointing.
