0 Saw (2003) - Jan 05, 2012
Mini-Review: torture-porn? what a disgusting waste of human energy. truly reprehensible - wish i could rate this lower
65 Analyze This (1999) - Jan 05, 2012
80 Howl's Moving Castle (2004) - Jan 05, 2012
80 La Moustache (2005) - Jan 05, 2012
70 Blow (2001) - Dec 24, 2011
Mini-Review: COCAINE (incidentally, compared to Scarface which has a much higher PSI for me, this is a far better film about cocaine smuggling. A different league. Scarface was a stupid dick, Depp is aight)
65 The Hangover (2009) - Dec 24, 2011
Mini-Review: I laughed at the dude who described this as "forgettable", nice 1 bro. It actually is forgettable though that's the irony. A good laugh nonetheless, jokes rarely fall flat. Cinematic candyfloss, tis. Little to complain about but nothing left after viewing to leave churning round and round the old brainium
80 The Night of the Hunter (1955) - Dec 24, 2011
30 The Social Network (2010) - Dec 24, 2011
Mini-Review: Every bit as lame as a movie about facebook should be. Oh god is this movie lame. It's extremely adeptly produced though, such a shiny, FUCKING BORING film. The dialogue is contrived to hell and every character is not so much unlikeable as so grey and characterless that you never like or dislike anyone. Starts off only kinda lame but gets lamer until (SPOILERS) an ending which can only be described as "really fucking lame". This is not a modern Citizen Kane. This is a modern "Citizen Lame".
30 Scarface (1983) - Dec 23, 2011
Mini-Review: This film is absolutely retarded, and it's kind of entertaining in places for this reason. I can watch it and enjoy how stupid it is, Tony Montana probably has some of the most hilariously poorly written 'macho' dialogue I have seen in a gangster film (balls balls etc), but I have no idea how people can think this isn't just a really mediocre film AT BEST. The fact that there are scores and scores of people who take this ultra-hammy movie about a sociopathic moron seriously is deeply concerning
