Mini-Review: It was okay, but it dragged a bit at times. The characters were all interchangeable. Omar Sharif looked like he didn't want to be there. You can tell that they switched directors halfway through.
Mini-Review: Attn: Steve Martin....Stop. Just stop please before you do any more damage to John Cleese's career.
Mini-Review: I like Hook - it really throws a curveball at the Peter Pan mythos, and Robin Williams is good in one of his earlier film performances. (Would he be outbilled by Dustin Hoffman today? The world may never know.)
Mini-Review: I thought that (Matt LeBlanc + Eddie Izzard) X Crossdressing = Comedy, but it got too dramatic at times, and tried to take itself seriously. It felt strangely hollow, and I couldn't get into it, if not for the fairly good ensemble of actors that tried their best to make it work.
Mini-Review: It was a really good, if slowly paced at times, portrait of life at Sea during that time period. Both Crowe and Bettany give strong performances, and the music is stirring.
Mini-Review: Felt way too much like a lame X-Files ripoff, and the "twist" was extremely lame. Very by-the-numbers, even Moore seemed to be phoning it in.
Mini-Review: Easily the best of the old Bond films - it set the mold for what all cool super-spy film shoud be.
Mini-Review: Quite the classic Christmas film for a more cynical generation. Brings up a lot of good childhood memories, and there's a reason TNT shows it for the entirety of Christmas Day.
Mini-Review: The peak of Chris Farley's career, this movie made him into a star before his untimely demise. Good jokes, a fantastic setup for the SNL film formula.
Mini-Review: I am indifferent. I am as liberal as they get, but this was just ninety minutes of Michael Moore saying "BUSH IS BAD LOL" while presenting very one-sided, fantastic arguments. This guy makes liberals look bad: conservatives, don't fret, not all of us are like this guy!
