Mini-Review: A solid post-apocalyptic thriller but it's emotionally underwhelming and a little too bleak for its own good. Some aspects of the film seem underdeveloped, such as the father's connection to his wife.
Mini-Review: The CGI may be hailed as groundbreaking but in 20 years nobody's gonna remember this thing, apart from, perhaps, its massively bloated marketing-hype campaign. An obnoxiously-cliched story painfully grinds with a script that has all the nuances and subtlety of a Saturday morning cartoon. Protip: Show up to the theatre blazed out of your mind and your enjoyment will increase tenfold.
Mini-Review: Mel Brooks...meh.
