Mini-Review: Steve McCool
Mini-Review: Great little movie. Does a better job of sustaining tension than nearly every mainstream horror film produced today.
Mini-Review: Brings together every 80s trope you can think of in one tightly wound package. I could have done with tackier music, to be honest, but the fashion, rampant drug use, and official corruption all fulfill expectations.
Mini-Review: The writing and acting are good, but it's as notable today for providing a snapshot of the era, in terms of fashion, city life, and the workings of a big office. The set design of the main office floor is fantastic, endless desks crowded together and staffed by harried drones glued to their telephones and typewriters. Notable as well for its frank depiction of infidelity and almost casual immorality.
