Mini-Review: I was astonished at M. Delon's ability to make his character crackle with an amoral vivacity. Talk about lack of impulse control!
Mini-Review: Hildegard of Bingen provides an interesting subject and Barbara Sukowa's performance is outstanding, but the screenplay is disappointing. Hildegard's music isn't showcased in the film and there is no attempt to represent her religious visions *ahem* visually.
Mini-Review: Brava to Michelle Pfeiffer for bringing this character to life - her portrayal is particularly poignant.
