Mini-Review: One of the best action films I have seen in a long time. Your sucked into the story as soon as it starts right up until the end. Liam Neeson is perfectly cast as an ex-spy who has to save his kidnapped daughter. Great writing by Luc Besson stop this from being just another run-of-the-mill action film. What you have instead is an exhilarating and fast-paced action thriller.
Mini-Review: First half of this film is very funny and it is a shame that it doesn't carry though until the end. The second half is just dull with very few laughs. Seth Rogan is as charming and funny as always but as the film goes on he seems bored of the whole thing as it moves in to rom-com territory. Not Kevin Smith's best but by no means his worst... a must see for any fan
Mini-Review: An enjoyable but a pretty average horror flick from Alexandre Aja. This could have been alot better but fell short which is a shame as it is differant from the huge amounts of slasher horrors that we get nowadays. The highlight was the ending which was very well done and if it had been done any other way would have come across as cheesy.
Mini-Review: Wasn't expecting alot from this film but was surprised as it was far better than I thought. This is a charming, cute and entertaining family film which doesn't try to be anything else and meets the needs of it target audience (10 year olds) and to pull in the crowds as a christmas release
Mini-Review: This is niether a good or a bad movie. Considering the cast you would expect expect something far better. This film falls in to the so good it bad catagory. It feels more like a throwback to the old B-rated crime movies of the 30's the the comic. People who watch it hoping for another Sin City are going to be disappointed
Mini-Review: I can't believe that no-one had thought to make this film before. This film tell the true story of the Beilski brothers who hid from the Nazis in the Belarussian Forest only to find that they aren't the only ones fleeing. Craig, Schreiber and Bell are prefectly cast and it is wonderfly directed by Edward Zwick. Although it is slow paced the action scenes are superb and the storytelling fantastic
Mini-Review: Loved this film although it was slow to get going but worth the watch. This film has the epic feel of bygone age in cinema which may not be to the tastes of everybody. Hugh Jackman is excellent in every scene he's in and proves that the is more to him than playing Wolverine. Nicole Kidman is great and you find yourself rooting for both of these characters. Great cast and directing which the right mix of romance, action and history
Mini-Review: Interesting idea it is just a shame that all the good bits were in the trailer. I'm a sucker for fantasy films but this was just rather boring. Great idea with a good cast just the plot didn't pull together well and left me feeling that it could have been a whole lot better
Mini-Review: Jim Carrey is perfectly cast as Carl who is challenged at a self-help group to say yes to everything. What follows is a funny but unoriginal comedy that made me laugh. If reminds me of the old Jim Carrey comedies but a little more grown up.
