Mini-Review: Better than the first, and by far better than any of the sequals, they should have stopped at this one. The others need to be "hyper-sleep" nightmares when Ripley and Newt finally wake up.

Mini-Review: Yes it's rather campy by today's standards, but at the time, this was state of the art for budget, cast and effects. Star Trek and Star Wars borrowed heavily from this classic.
