Mini-Review: Abysmal effects, weak storyline - moderately decent acting. Can't make soup out of a mud puddle and a good pot, can you?
Mini-Review: Over the top entertainment. Zombies, blood, beautiful ladies, blood, Bruce Willis, blood, barbecue, blood, biowar, blood, guns, blood, knives, blood, hypodermics, blood, fire, blood, explosions, blood, and yes, more blood. If that's your thing, this will do you good.
Mini-Review: An excellent film for young children; Disney back when Disney wasn't trying to be (cough) "culturally relevant" or "politically correct." Highly recommended for kids. Adults won't mind it either, though there is some moderately annoying singing in the old Disney tradition.
Mini-Review: Delicious. The animation of the animals is outstanding, seriously outstanding - the best I've seen yet. The story is good, the humans not as well done as the animals, but they aren't the stars anyway. Total must see, must buy recommendation.
Mini-Review: Pretty funny. Could have been funnier here and there, but a good watch. I particularly enjoyed the fact that one young kid who seems to be built gay, was left gay and not (cough) "redeemed" at the end of the film. Kudos to the filmmakers.
Mini-Review: production values: poor. Plot: incomprehensible. Wardrobe: cultural collision. Verdict: didn't even finish watching... yes, it's that bad.
Mini-Review: This is a rating for the first of the two movies; I've not yet seen the second. I wasn't the least interested, based on the "blood and gore" theme the ads tried to sell the movies on. But my sweetheart got the film in here, and so I sat with her to watch it (she's worth my time, no matter what is on screen.) Well, I was most pleasantly surprised. I think you will be as well. When I see the second movie, I'll come back and update this. Until then, at least the first one is great.
Mini-Review: A period piece with breathtaking scenery and sets; the acting is solid, and the history, even Hollywood's version of it, is worth your time. My sweetheart and I really enjoyed this movie; but be warned, it is for thinkers, not those looking for popcorn fare.
Mini-Review: clever and quite funny, really
