Mini-Review: A movie full of disappointed middle-aged people and Brad Pitt. At first, his character seems a bit added on, but in reality he's needed to throw all the others into relief. It turns the movie from a depressing view of narcissistic people into a comedy.
Mini-Review: Of course, in this kind of story, the principals are doomed from the moment they meet. Mitchum is good as a man who knows for the most part, what's going on, but is unable to do anything about it. Jean Simmons is better as the woman who has him on a leash.
Mini-Review: It's an action movie. Lots of people chasing around, fighting, and stuff like that. The use of subtitles in the version I saw (I don't golov the russki) were inventive. Whoever did them deserves a lot of credit.
Mini-Review: I assume it's better if you're Hungarian, which i am not, or if you completely understand the symbolism, which I do not.
