Mini-Review: Surprisingly funny and energetic and satisfyingly trashy. Probably a must-see for fans of early John Waters.
Mini-Review: PT Anderson is trying too hard to emulate Robert Altman's stylistic chops here and brings little else to the table. Too wrapped up in its own importance and most of the characters and storylines just leave me cold. I like Anderson but this is a bad movie. Save your time and watch (or rewatch) Altman's "Short Cuts" instead.
Mini-Review: My favorite Godard so far; it's conceptually interesting and appealingly thinky, but full of a charming 1960s pop culture sensibility.
