Mini-Review: I never read the book, but I was absolutely hooked after seeing the trailers, plus I loved 300. The movie was great, although I'm left feeling like there was something missing that I can't put my finger on. Maybe that's the inteded feeling, though, as the story itself seems like a commentary on a pretty bluntly pessimistic outlook on human nature and mankind's lust for power.
Mini-Review: As I grow older, Sandler's immature antics grow less funny, but I will always love this movie.
Mini-Review: I didn't think it was nearly as funny as most people did, nor nearly as scary. I like the idea of horror movie-buffs creating their own real-life horror movie as the plot line, but it could've been much better.
Mini-Review: As a CG animation aficianado, I enjoyed this. As a film buff, I don't think the story is anything special. That's what sets Pixar apart from the other animation houses.
Mini-Review: It wasn't great, but it scared the hell out of my roommate, so it gets bonus points.
Mini-Review: Loved the old B&W "Zorro" TV show as a kid. Loved Banderas as a Mexican vigilante in "Desperado" and "Once Upon A Time In Mexico." Hated Banderas as a Mexican Vigilante in "The Legend Of Zorro."
Mini-Review: It's been too long since I've seen it to remember much, but it was the first movie to combine computer animation and live action, so it gets high ranking simply for that fact.
