Mini-Review: Definately important when it was first made. AIDS was still largely unknown to those who weren't personally affected by it. Years later, it's not as striking as a dramatic film. Hanks does go through quite a transformation as the illness progresses. The physical changes are very believable.
Mini-Review: I liked this. I suppose i'm in the minority.
Mini-Review: They should've stopped while they were ahead...
Mini-Review: For humor and little else. Coined some annoying catch phrases which still haven't died. "Very Nice!!"
Mini-Review: Very touching, very true to life. There are so many poignant moments in this film.
Many we never forget.
Mini-Review: I enjoyed this as a child. It's dated now (and was when I saw it in 1993), plus it looks world weary in comparasion to the remake with Johnny Depp. However, IMO, nothing beats the original.
"I've got another puzzle for you!"
Mini-Review: Kathy Bates is quite believeable in her role as the sadistic obsessed fan of a best selling novelist. Could there be more to the story???
