Mini-Review: Nice cast. That's about it.
Mini-Review: For all its grandiosity, it was the little things that I liked. The expressions, the gestures, the moments of quiet.
Mini-Review: This film puzzles me. I still cannot make sense of what LvT was trying to say. There must be a coherent ideology behind it, but I don't see it. I've enjoyed thinking about it, though.
Mini-Review: Great animation, very detailed. I'd like to see it again and again just to look for new things. The singing scene - Eugenia León performing La Llorona - reminded me of Llorando in Mulholland Drive, which I thought was funny.
Mini-Review: I first watched it when I was 18 and it had a huge impact on me. Eighteen years later, I watch it again, and it resonates even more. One of my favorite films of all time.
Mini-Review: You know what's great about this? There's a new world order in place, but the film never hammers that in. It only gives us snippets of this new world order while focusing on the life of 'a man without interest'. What a neat idea. (Alternate review: You had me at Rufus Wainwright.)
Mini-Review: The bozos in the audience laughing loudly at every single turn kinda spoiled the experience for me, but still, a very good short. Please, people, refrain from laughing at, pointing at and freaking verbalizing everything you see onscreen. Don't be the Captain Obvious of the movie theater, thank you.
Mini-Review: Two hours of people arguing.
Mini-Review: I had watched this before but didn't remember how good it was. Just saw it again and found it gripping. Great tension building.
