95 Shutter Island (2010) - Feb 19, 2010
Mini-Review: This is one of the most well constructed films I have ever seen. From the very start of the film, you get completely entranced by the mysterious plot line and the outstanding visual feel of the film. It does such and excellent job of getting the audience down to the level of the DiCaprio's character and makes you feel just as his character feels when the conclusion of the film is reached. When the ending was revealed, I didnt want to accept it any more than DiCaprio's character did. Great Film!
95 Into the Wild (2007) - Mar 16, 2008
Mini-Review: Such a great depiction on Jon Krakauer's book, it was one of the most beautiful movies i've ever seen. This movie had me captivated from the very start to the very end.
94 Irreversible (2002) - Nov 21, 2008
Mini-Review: This movie is extremely eye opening and somewhat disturbing. The screenplay is shot in such a way that I have never seen before and it kept me interested throughout with it's reverse-chronological plot line. A very good film that I would recommend to anyone. But be prepared for it.
100 Requiem for a Dream (2000) - Mar 17, 2008
Mini-Review: This movie is by far one of the best movies that I have ever seen, if not the best. This film left such a lasting impression on me after i watched it that I paced back and forth and was utterly speechless when I finished it for the first time. No movie has ever caused me such emotional despair and shock after viewing it like Requiem for a Dream did, therefore in my mind, it deserves nothing less than a perfect score.
