Recent Rankings
75 V for Vendetta (2006) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: Very good, although explores a theme already seen in 1984. Mind bending tongue twisters and extended dialogue for all to enjoy. Well pieced with characters that tug at the heart strings.
65 Let the Right One In (2008) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: Interesting and not a waste of time. Young boy, isolated with a vampire girlfriend to defend him - straight forward. No need for a re-watch.
55 Disturbia (2007) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: As far as suspense/thrillers go, this film hits the spot. No matter how generic the spot it. A dime a dozen thriller.
70 Amélie (2001) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: Lighthearted, feel good film with a foreign twist. Cute plot, pinch cheek characters. Easy to watch and to re-watch.
67 Sin City (2005) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: I enjoyed this film greatly, aside from the somewhat disappointing conclusion. Over looking the final moments, plot and aesthetic both captured and retained interest.
45 National Treasure (2004) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: Exceedingly obvious conclusion, with no truly surprising twist that salvages an otherwise unremarkable film.
70 Full Metal Jacket (1987) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: Very heavy. Although well crafted, you'll be left ambivalent.
65 Spider-Man (2002) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: Although very generic, a surprisingly enjoyable film.
75 Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: Mind boggling brilliant, a great deal of psychedelic fun.
85 No Country for Old Men (2007) - Nov 09, 2010
Mini-Review: Beautifully directed by the Coen brothers, this film stays with you after you've turned off the screen. Strongly recommend, but requires particularly somber and patient frame of mind to view.
