Mini-Review: I was surprised how much I actually enjoyed this movie. At first, I was unsure, but it drew me in as it went along. During the first half of the movie, I kept thinking, "That's Robert Pattinson. That's Robert Pattinson. That's Robert Pattinson." But, I suddenly realized I had completely forgotten it was Robert Pattinson (aka Edward Cullen) and just saw crazy Salvador Dali. Being a big Pattinson fan, this says something about his performance. Very convincing. Interesting story.
Mini-Review: Weird, interesting, quirky, fun. Basically, what you would expect Tim Burton's vision of Alice In Wonderland would be. Great casting, as well.
Mini-Review: Interesting story/idea. Good amount of blood & guts. Funny similarities to Twilight. Main vampire character named Edward, protagonist, doesn't really want to be a vampire, won't drink human blood, and vampire's eyes are golden. Hmmm . . .
Mini-Review: SO HARD to rate this movie. I am really conflicted. It's beautifully filmed and acted. The monsters were perfect. It was just missing something, but I don't know what. It was a bit dull at times and odd. Oh, and the music is wonderful, as well.
Mini-Review: I review this based on being a fan of the book. As always, the book is better, but that's not why I didn't like it that much. They focused too much on the in-between and not enough on the struggle the family was enduring. They also left out a crucial relationship that develops between the mother and the detective. Casting and acting were great, so it's too bad they ruined the movie.
