Recent Rankings
78 RoboCop (1987) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: OK shoo-em-up for the "lets solve the world's problems by killing the bad guys" crowd. Kinda one dimensional.
72 Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: Probably the very worst, by far, of the Indiana Jones series. Nonetheless, tolerable required viewing and reviewing for the true Indiana Jones fan. Great opening scene; it digresses from there.
70 Fight Club (1999) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: Too grueling for my tastes, but well acted with an interesting plot.
80 Superbad (2007) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: OK comedy, but I'm several generations beyond the intended audience. Deals well with coming of age boyish matter, and provides a good laugh to boot.
81 Arachnophobia (1990) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: Comic plot, not too scary (unless you have arachnophobia). Entertaining.
92 Ghost Town (2008) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: Surprisingly amusing. Well acted, with empathic characters. The plot moves along well towards it's inevitable conclusion, as the main character transforms in a way that is easy to identify with.
25 Sin City (2005) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: Yuk. Kinda trashy. Couldn'y sit thru the whole thing.
100 Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: Probably the best Raiders flick ever. OK maybe tied with *Crystal Skul.* Fast paced action, great locations, humor, a hero to cry for. I could watch it a million times.
95 Batman Begins (2005) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: Probably the best BatMan flick, ever. A plot, empathic characters, great special effects, good acting: what else is there?
85 Seven Years in Tibet (1997) - Aug 18, 2009
Mini-Review: OK, so I'm a "Tibet nut!" I have been ever since I first saw Tibet -- in an early 1960s *Cinerama* theater. I remember enjoying watching it, but details are now faded, like the sound from a spinning prayer wheel.
