Mini-Review: Oh, it does have some great moments. and it is funny. But Tarantino makes the film awkward, gives it painful pacing, and it becomes a drag to watch. I can't rate it highly for that. This definitely falls into the category of a movie everyone loves but I just don't get why.
Mini-Review: I'd hoped after seeing the 'flower shop' scene that this movie was intentionally bad and thus had some cheeky merit. No. It's awful. It's drama, cheating, sex, throwing a football, horribly bad acting from the star/director/writer/producer Fabio from heck. What a steaming pile of crap this is. I can award it no points.
Mini-Review: Visually beautiful, with a solid story and compelling characters. I do not believe you'll regret seeing it, and I highly recommend doing so.
Mini-Review: It's one of those movies where logical responses to consequences just aren't considered so that it can take you along for the ride. ... The stupid, stupid ride.
Mini-Review: A bit dry, and that's where the MST3K folks come in, but not bad considering what it is: a driving safety film.
Mini-Review: It is fair to review a movie if you've not seen it? Almost always I'd say no, but for this one: yes. Yes it is. Because it builds off the first one I saw that was a train wreck.
Mini-Review: This is the second movie I've ever seen where I wanted to give a negative score. Historically inaccurate and insulting, a ripoff of Cameron's Titanic, and yet it even screws that up. Throw in some talking animals and unexplained magic... and don't forget... nobody dies! It was all a misunderstanding. If a survivor of the Titanic disaster or her offspring sued, I would encourage it. THAT bad.
