75 The Hulk
Mini-Review: Not a bad movie, just didn't live up to the hype. Word of mouth killed it soon after. I personally enjoyed it. Ang Lee really did drag it out though. I liked the comic book style that came through in it, and the special effects kicked ass.
60 Hannibal
Mini-Review: This series would have done well without the movie. It has some good moments, and Anthony Hopkins is rockin as always. This movie missed for me though. What should've been a psychological thriller felt more like some sort've gross-out flick.
83 War of the Worlds
Mini-Review: Probably as solid a modernization of this movie as could've possibly been made. Great special effects. Nothin more to say about this movie than HG Wells said in the first place.
80 Bad Boys II
Mini-Review: Yeah, it's pretty predictable, but good solid action movies are a dying breed. More of the same, but car chases and explosions are always badass.
50 Men in Black II
Mini-Review: Somewhat amusing from time to time, but there's something missing from it that the original had. I dunno... The original was fairly clever and entertaining... this one, however, was lacking.
80 The Day After Tomorrow
Mini-Review: Great popcorn flick. It definitely loses some of it's wow factor on the small screen, but still... good stuff. Some amazing special effects too... the tornados in hollywood, and the giant hurricane eye were great.
88 The Royal Tenenbaums
Mini-Review: This movie really hit a chord with me, though im not sure i could pin down why. Such a genuinely dysfunctional family... nobody really has a clue how to interact with each other, but it's evident that they really love each other. It doesn't get more true to life, in a surreal way. The more times i see this one, the more i appreciate it.
89 Constantine
Mini-Review: I'm a sucker for comic book movies, and this is one of the best. Interesting characters (same ole' Keanu though). Great villains, great action, and an overall creepy mood that's one of the best.
79 The Animal
Mini-Review: As far as Rob Schneider movies go, this is one of the better ones. Made me laugh out loud a few times, but the absolute absurdity of some of the characters was hard to swallow at times.
84 The Count of Monte Cristo
Mini-Review: This is one of my favorite books from my younger years, so i went into it a little biased. Still, i wasn't disappointed. Gorgeous movie, great costumes, and one of the best revenge plots of all time. What's not to like?
