Mini-Review: I was thinking this was going to be kind of lame before I watched it, but worth a few laughs...I was wrong, I ended up liking it alot. Sandler knows how to be funny and serious in the same movie (I realized this from 2 or three of his past movies that were a mix of serious and funny, and made me appreciate him more). It was chocked full of hilarious jokes and balanced with a touch of heavy. The supporting guy Seth, I think, was a bit of a wuss, but nice offset from Sandler. A bit long though.
Mini-Review: The movie started out funny with the opening scene, however, they should have cut it back a bit (it seemed a bit stretched out). The girl was kinda decent, but the movie seemed to be a bit lacking of something, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I think that Woody Allen and Larry David are a good match, but I prefer L.D. in his show (C.Y.E.), his scenarios are funnier and keep you on your toes. Without giving it away...the cause of the limp is hilarious...the second time around...priceless!
Mini-Review: While I did not enjoy the story as much as "The Curse of the Golden Flower", The movie is shot just as well, but lacked a bit of umpf that the Curse... had. I really like the star actress in this (Zhang Ziyi). I have been engaged by her since I saw her in Memoirs... and Crouching Tiger... . She is a talented actress and very beautiful (which goes without saying). Some of the sword fights were a bit lacking, but the other visual effects were certainly well done (i.e. the bamboo forest scenes).
Mini-Review: I felt some of the characters should have had more of their stories unfolded (like Robin Williams). I have liked R. Williams in most all of his serious roles. Supporting actors were good. It was a pretty good movie. Laughed a bit. I never saw any trailers for this movie, or had even heard of it before I rented it; I just happened to see it at the video store and thought...Kevin Spacey, I think he's a great actor. So I got it...Woolah, it was pretty good!
Mini-Review: Wow, how horrendous. I figured it would be worth a few laughs, and I think I may have possibly caught myself in a grimace with some sort of noise emitting from my lungs. I wouldn't classify it as a real laugh though. C'mon...Jack Black...you have done crap better than this steaming pile! The princess was kinda hot, that's about it lol. Not sure why I even finished it. If I had to compare this to watching paint dry...it'd probably win, but not by a whole lot.
Mini-Review: The end was a bit disappointing to me.
Mini-Review: It was pretty funny I thought.
Mini-Review: ??? Mixed feelings. Good, but not sure I was feeling it all the way through.
