Recent Rankings
86 Bicycle Thieves (1948) - Mar 20, 2009
Mini-Review: I appreciate this movie. The kid was great and I didn't find the searching-for-bicycle too boring. When it did get a little bit tedious, I would admire the black and white cinematography. The ending was well done.
93 The Inner Scar (1972) - Mar 18, 2009
Mini-Review: Watching this movie is an interesting experience. At times it is dull, but even then there is still something to mull over, or watch how the man walks, just observing. I think I like this film more because it took me so long to get my hands on a copy, so I have a special pride when it comes to this. It was worth searching for months for.
87 Born Into Brothels (2004) - Mar 18, 2009
83 Water (2005) - Mar 18, 2009
Mini-Review: a bit slow, but not bad.
89 Ghost World (2001) - Mar 18, 2009
Mini-Review: I was 12 years old and I loved it.
88 The Breakfast Club (1985) - Mar 18, 2009
80 Milk (2008) - Mar 18, 2009
Mini-Review: stagnant.
90 Regular Lovers (2005) - Mar 18, 2009
Mini-Review: It's not something you might enjoy, but it is something you should watch.
84 Was nützt die Liebe in Gedanken (2004) - Mar 18, 2009
Mini-Review: I didn't have subtitles, but the cinematography wasn't riveting, and the story (from a translation from a friend who can speak german) was predictable.
86 Mouth to Mouth (2005) - Mar 18, 2009
Mini-Review: Somewhat interesting, but the strange relationship between the mother & daughter perturbed me. The most emotion I got out of the film was when I was wondering what happened to the guy (August Diehl) who ran after the van at the end.
