Mini-Review: Not so much funny, not so much with the people. It's semi-descent script is ruined by the choice of players (I'm sorry... I can't bring myself to call Adam Sandler an actor, and Seth Rogan, nothing more than a well-paid doorstop). Sandler, at least gives it a good try to perform his role, but Seth Rogan simply walks through it, hoping a somewhat dramatic role might legitimize his other projects.
Mini-Review: Another perfect example of "reinventing the wheel" syndrome. A fun if note a bit mediocre popcorn munching movie that, could have been so much better by the screenwriters simply reading the comics before fething around with decades of storyline.
Mini-Review: An alright movie that could have been a great movie with a little more work. The Transformers movies primarily suffer from the "reinventing the wheel" syndrome. With decades of source material movies like this should pretty much write themselves. Restore the main characters closer to their original characterizations (come on... Megatron kneels to NO ONE) and looks (ditch the "bug-bot" look), and place the humans firmly in the background where they belong.
Mini-Review: A first rate sci-fi that, although fairly predictable, is still quite watchable. Unfortunately it loses points for the cliche "Human's are sacks of crap" angle so popular in many recent sci-fi movies.
Mini-Review: Ok... this movie is everything you'd expect from a summer action movie. It's not "Casablanca" or "Hamlet." It's babes, bombs and bangs and probably liked better than most will admit. 8D
