Recent Rankings
19 Topaz (1969) - Feb 06, 2012
Mini-Review: Bad accents, white guys as Koobans (their pronunciation, not mine), Invincible Roscoe Lee Browne, and a whole lot of talking about absolutely nothing. What a pile of suck.
52 Larry Crowne (2011) - Jan 29, 2012
Mini-Review: Roger Ebert: "Larry Crowne is a nice man who becomes nicer with the encouragement of other nice people."
91 The Grey (2012) - Jan 28, 2012
Mini-Review: I expected a film about people trying to make fire and run away from wolves. I got a surprisingly clever film about people accepting their fate.
27 Salt (2010) - Jan 20, 2012
77 War Horse (2011) - Jan 20, 2012
9 Out Cold (2001) - Jan 05, 2012
Mini-Review: I saw about 15 minutes. That was enough.
84 Bridesmaids (2011) - Jan 03, 2012
Mini-Review: I went in expecting a female version of The Hangover with filthy exploits in Vegas. Instead, I got a pretty fun movie with lots of cast members from The Office.
71 Beginners (2011) - Dec 21, 2011
89 Blade Runner (1982) - Dec 11, 2011
Mini-Review: Harrison Ford was right: the voiceovers are terrible.
93 The Descendants (2011) - Dec 04, 2011
Mini-Review: Clooney always delivers, and it just so happens he and Payne are a pretty good fit. The only person that seemed to stick out was Rob Huebel. I don't know, I can't really sum up how I feel, but I can just say I enjoyed it, and I rarely poke and prod the person next to me as events unfold in the theater. "Oh my GOD, he did it!" and a thumbs up at a crucial point. I have to love a movie that makes me a dork in a crowded theater.
