Mini-Review: I watched this at the Munich "Fantasy Filmfest" yesterday. I was quite disappointed actually, I didn't find anything scary in the whole movie, nothing made me jump (at least Ju-On had those weird noises). Overall there was just too much unintensionally comical stuff, like weird flying bunny backpacks and seemingly crude dialogue (although that could be the translation). At least now I have another pair of 3D glasses and the wish go back in time and watch "Survival of the Dead"
Mini-Review: Typical 90s romcom, I've seen worse :)
Mini-Review: Nothing special. Actually, everything could be predicted very easily once the parents tried to kill the child. I mean come on - her name is Lilith...
Mini-Review: First of, I'm looking forward to the third part, this one made me curious enough to see how how they are going to follow the path they started going with this. Although it's not as good as the first, it's still full of tension, made me jump a few times (I love that!). One more thing:I sure was surprised to find out what really was the source of the infections - at first, it was a little disappointing but after letting it sink for a while, I think it's a good&interesting idea(haven't seen it yet)
Mini-Review: This caught me off guard - I didn't know what this movie was about before I watched it. And while it kind of has a TV-movie feel and isn't what I would consider a good film, it's utterly disturbing. And not only because of the sickness of the events themselves but because this has really happened. What on earth is wrong with people?!
Mini-Review: Story-wise, this movie is quite decent. However, there are two things that are just awful: first, the CGI is horrendous. I mean, this is from 2008!! If you make use of CGI THIS much, then it should rather be good - but it isn't (kinda reminded me of the good old FMV games from the early 90s). Second thing: WAY too much shaky cam, that was so unnecessary.
Mini-Review: This was on TV last night and surprise, surprise: it's an awful film.
Mini-Review: I quite enjoyed this - the atmosphere is great, it's well acted and it's also suspenseful despite being a little predictable at times. And that cheap "devil eyes" effect was awfully ridiculous and completely unnecessary!
Mini-Review: This is pretty generic and predictable. What I liked: Ethan Hawke & Olivier Martinez. And it made jump like two or three times.
