72 Inside Man (2006) - Jun 17, 2009
92 Children of Men (2006) - May 19, 2009
Mini-Review: Great direction, good scenery.
40 Shaun of the Dead (2004) - May 17, 2009
Mini-Review: I laughed a few times.
74 Crumb (1994) - May 16, 2009
Mini-Review: The subject matter is interesting.
40 Miller's Crossing (1990) - May 16, 2009
Mini-Review: Can't overcome my sense of doubt.
39 The Boondock Saints (1999) - May 16, 2009
Mini-Review: The Irish actors are nice to watch. The premise is good. The plot and directing are below mediocre and who wants to see a gay Willem Dafoe? This film could've been so much more, but is ultimately a let down.
58 Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) - May 15, 2009
Mini-Review: English version of "Pulp Fiction". Would rank higher if murder weren't one of its principal plot devices.
72 Night of the Living Dead (1968) - May 14, 2009
Mini-Review: High ranked because it started a genre. The movie itself is decent.
24 Closer (2004) - May 13, 2009
Mini-Review: Hollywood crap, but set in London. Jude Law is great. Julia Roberts is horribly bad. I'm not convinced she's been in London more than a week before shooting. She seems completely lacking acclimation. There's nothing really redeeming about this film. The potty mouth scene between Julia Roberts and Clive Owen is gross. So staged, you can practically see the script through the dialogue. Overall, leaves the viewer with an empty feeling in a bad way.
87 Crimson Gold (2003) - May 13, 2009
Mini-Review: Really an excellent look into life in modern Iran as well as a critique of the disparity of wealth between classes.
