82 Going My Way - Dec 09, 2007
93 Much Ado About Nothing - Dec 02, 2007
Mini-Review: Robert Sean Leonard is hilariously awful, and Kenneth Branagh is clearly channeling Basil Fawlty during his soliloquies, but these things make this version much more entertaining if not sublime. I wonder whether Leonard was cast intentionally to provide just the sort of laughable, wooden emotions two-dimensional Claudio requires. 60 The Babe Ruth Story - Nov 30, 2007
Mini-Review: So terrible it's kinda hilarious. The scenes where William Bendix is supposed to be a "teenage" Babe Ruth will have you on the floor.

Also worth checking out for the class warfare (now back in style), and the fact you'll have to check your pulse after the horse-chase scene.
90 Willie Dynamite - Nov 30, 2007
Mini-Review: The title character is played by Roscoe Orman (Sesame Street's Gordon), and his cussing, bitch-slapping, and pimp outfits will drop your jaw (at one point he sports a fez!). But I love this movie because it's a transcendent commentary on free enterprise and government intervention. In this case a pimp refusing to collectivize, then getting cut down to size. Number one minus o
