Mini-Review: This movie is not what it seems to be; you may think it's a chase movie but it's more than that. Both Jackson and Affleck's roles/portrayals are quite good...Affleck is especially surprising.
Mini-Review: OH yeah...this movie is irreverent in many ways, and I enjoyed it. William Shatner's character was very hilarious.
Mini-Review: I'm a big Billy Bob fan, and this movie was really quite funny and a great anti-Christmas film. I saw it on Christmas Day in the theaters and it really helped me get past the dregs of materialism. John Ritter and Bernie Mac were great in their supporting roles as well. Give it a shot...you might actually like it!
Mini-Review: Goofy...I liked it in high school but I've definitely outgrown it. It's a light comedy but a little too light for me these days.
Mini-Review: Good acting by Thornton and Willis, but Blanchett was annoying. Levinson is a great director...need to see more of his work these days.
Mini-Review: Even though I was a little kid in the 70s, I remember my cousins dressing like this, and being into the same stuff. Perfect setting, details are there, and the acting was incredible as well. Quite funny too...and very interesting to see Matthew McConahey with sideburns.
Mini-Review: This is one "family film" that I can stomach. Any movie that has the guts to feature Jonathan Katz acting out a psycho drama with Star Trek action figures is a cut above the rest. This really is a good film, in my opinion, and worth the time spent to watch it.
Mini-Review: Really great concert film - if you're a Prince fan, this is a must see to understand one of the pivotal times in his music career. It's a little surreal at times, and the film quality is a little grainy, but who cares when Prince is jammin'!? Great drum solos by Sheila E., and Prince shows that he can still rock the house.
Mini-Review: Yeah, it's hokey (It's '50's Disney, what do you expect?) but it is very faithful to the original book. And really, the acting by all involved (including Tommy Kirk) is quite good. I don't care who you are, if you don't cry at the end, you're a bed-wetting Communist.
Mini-Review: The three featured actors were great in this, but not enough Angela Bassett. The ending was a little predictable and parts of it dragged, but if it's on cable, it's worth a couple hours.
