Mini-Review: Doesn't hold a candle to my love for "The Next Generation" series (beats some of the movies). It's script often tends being shallow and over convenient. There are far too many inconsistencies towards the universe (even considering the alternate timeline). This modern reboot seems to be overall unoriginal, borrowing many elements from Star Wars, recycling Star Trek episodes, and focusing more on action and special effects (oh, and the sound effects, my goodness).
