Mini-Review: Stopped watching after 20 minutes. Bad 80s action and clumsily paced dialogue.
Mini-Review: The best horror film of the recent couple of decades.
Mini-Review: A very pleasant surprise and in some ways quite a unique film. If Golden Age style visuals make a contemporary film look gimmicky, that's too bad for films that want to avoid gimmicks -- Lucky Number Slevin does not.
The dialogue is occasionally quite witty and even the many cheesy parts are delivered with a confidence that makes me give them a pass.
Fun movie.
Mini-Review: The film had a very promising first few minutes. After that there was hardly any suspense and the plot developments were embarrassingly infeasible (considering how seriously the film seemed to take itself) or simply not very interesting.
Mini-Review: Haneke hates his audience and wants to make them feel bad -- this time by boring them to death.
