If you never saw this film, consider it a pleasant surprise waiting to happen. The subject matter is deeper than you'd expect from the posters we've all seen, and the acting is genuinely great.

I can't really call it bad but ye gods it's so BORING. Lame comedy and a very punchable Dudley Moore.

this movie was absolutely HILARIOUS ! i have no idea how much of it was intentional, but i really really enjoyed watching it. the film also showed very accurately, albeit depressingly, how immature men really are, regardless of their age.

Like 70's Woody Allen, Edwards weaves comedy w/ some thoughtful drama - but it's not as good. While the telescope ending is a great metaphor, musical numbers made it drag in parts; & it's definitely not as funny (LOTS of physical comedy) or honest about people (happy ending). Still this exploration into a 1970's man experiencing a mid-life crisis is interesting, especially if you're over 40 yourself. It also makes you realize John Derek must be an awful director because Bo is very good in this.

The beginning to middle were good, but when he breaks off his "mission" and goes home it was the stereo typical ending that was neither inspiring nor exciting.

An adult comedy that's not only for those suffering a mid-life crisis, 10 is really made by Dudley Moore, the witty script allowing him to display his full range of acting as well as showing off his talents behind the piano. Some flat sections drop the pace but overall it's more than worth your time and contains plenty of chucklesome moments. There's some quality T&A on show too, although I'd have preferred Bo Derek's role to have been played by a more accomplished actress.

Occasionally amusing, but pretty forgettable. Also forgettable: Bo Derek's anonymous kind of beauty.

Perfectly watchable. Not Dudley's finest moment, but probably Bo's.

Charming mid-life crisis comedy courtesy of writer-director Edwards; perhaps a little dated at its 32nd birthday, but a charismatic leading performance by Moore, and a generally agreeable cast, makes it a very enjoyable ride. Andrews is fine, though perhaps miscast; Derek is an admirable pin-up, but little else. Quite intelligently written by Edwards, though occassionally prone to speechiness ("broads") and general smutiness, but it's Blake Edwards, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

"10's tossed-off quality keeps it from greatness, but it also distinguishes Edward's film from the great mass of contemporary comedies smoothed to a shiny, edgeless formula."

Dudley Moore sucks. Julie Andrews is good but underused. Bo Derek is pretty but forgettable. The whole movie is really bland and boring, something made even more obvious by the supposedly edgy moments.

Why anyone ever thought it was a good idea to put Bo Derek in anything but soft-core porn is beyond me. Utterly forgettable.

For a movie this sitcom-y the ending is surprisingly sweet, honest, authentic, ballsy and original. And one thing Blake Edwards movies never disappoint me with is cinematography. Usually makes up for his usual lack of pace.

Viewed December 17, 2019. Edwards' most graceful and subtly affecting film, even though Dudley Moore spends half of it in an alcohol-and-painkiller-induced stupor, and his best, most truthful examination of fragile masculinity. A deeply satisfying movie.
