Technically, it wasn't great. I enjoyed the way Kiefer Sutherland and Robert Downey Jr. played off one another and the contrast in characters, though. It was fun. Not brilliant, just fun.

Kind of like a 60's mixtape with a bit of Vietnam, hippies, drugs and golden oldies. The message is nice and all, but the film is too lightweight to really come up with anything interesting. It's biggest asset is the cast with Sutherland, Ryder, Dern and Downey Jr. who is playing the same role that he would play for a long time off and on screen.

A confused grab-bag of 60's-related snippets. Sutherland's golly-gee portrayal is alternately charming and irritating. For an oddball double-feature, watch this and follow it up with Flashback.
