2 Autumns, 3 Winters

Vincent Macaigne is always a pleasure to watch and here the story and supporting cast is also quite charming.

One of the better light French films of recent times, certainly better than I expected from an unknown cast and director. The characters felt real, rough-edged and interesting. The passage of time was not conveyed quite so well - a little contrived, to make the film fit a certain predefined structure. But I had an emotional connection to the characters and card about their dialogue and key scenes. Not a classic romance but worth a look as something alternative.
