20-seiki shônen: Dai 2 shô - Saigo no kibô

I'm a bit torn with this series, I like the idea and even the convoluted mystery, hell even the characters are interesting if a bit under used. But I found the direction of the movie lackluster. The pacing is a big issue here as well as things movie really really slowly a lot of the time and then skim over events using montages or narration or both. This film feels exactly like what it is which is the middle part of a trilogy. Fun and interesting but also boring & disappointing at the same time.

The story and acting has gotten weaker since the first. It, however, has piqued my interest in finishing this series of films. For all the bad parts, I just can't hate it.
