I've seen this movie at least twenty-seven times, each time with a different title, cast and score. I'm getting pretty sick of it by now.

the saddest thing about diarrhea like this is that it sits well with a vast audience. let's just call 'em "the walking dead", people (in this case women i'd say) who are satisfied with watching the same predictable crap over and over again. if you love filmmaking for its creativity, emotional variety and sheer limitless possibilities, this should make you puke out of your eyesockets. instead, there's a whole industry built around this, and it prospers with each braincell it consumes.

The one nice thing is that Jane from the Office has a bit role. Ok to put it bluntly I found myself putting my head under a blanket a couple times mainly because it was just painful for me to watch. Its a hard movie to believe in. My date did like it though, so maybe it just wasn't for me.

Had to see it way too many times working in a video store. I guess it'd be good if you already like this sort of cheesy, occasionally uncomfortable romantic comedy, but it is definitely not for me.

It gets credit for the joke about cutting the dress short, since my wife said the exact same thing. The rest is boring and formulaic.

Derivitive romcom nonsense that has no surprises for anyone. If she was a real person, Katherine Heigl's character would be the most boring woman in the world. Marsden was good though

Predictable, but adorably so. Katherine Heigl is a great actress, and fits perfectly in the rom-com genre. I was genuinely surprised that there were some laugh-out-loud moments, and the writing isn't as bad as many other movies of the same formula.

Silly and unfocused rom-com has a confused and convoluted plot through-line, but passes as fun entertainment on the basis of a surprisingly well-matched cast having a ball, especially a gleefully true-to-form sardonic Greer; Marsden and Heigl make for a more winning (and likable) couple than you might expect. Sub plots involving Burns and Akerman are arguably extraneous, and don’t help the film justify a 2 hour runtime; as frivolous, disposable entertainment, it is hard to complain too loudly.

Though it's predictability is a negative factor, Heigl's shining performance redeems the film to some extent and, despite my reaction of self-loathing, I found myself happy at the cheesy ending.

I only ended up watching this coz there was nothing else at my local blockbuster and found myself really quite enjoying it. Yes it is predictable and alot has been seen before but it still rasied a couple of laughs and both of the leads played by Katherine Heigl and James Marsden are charming and likeable. A girly flick to the core which thankfully doesn't try to be anything else

Katherine Heigl is a real talent, but "27 Dresses" doesn't do her any favors. The movie sports an oddly contorted plot that has no bearings and merely recycles other movies of the genre. Nothing here is believable - it's about as science fiction as "The Matrix," and it doesn't compensate by being overly charming either.

Very cute and very fun. I thought both Heigl and Marsden were excellent in their roles - very natural and endearing. The whole premise of, basically, "always a bridesmaid never a bride" was cute, and happily the story unfolded from giving complex characters (in a good way) and a well-rounded plot. I've found some refreshing twists to the love-triangles, that I can't explain without revealing too much, but I do think it's worth seeing and a delightful little film!

Originally gave this a 30 because I felt bad for the people working in & on it, and because it’s not reprehensible on a “moral” level, ie it isn’t the filmic equivalent of the meth epidemic inciting the downfall of society. It’s like the modern day version of Canterbury Tales. Someday this will be revered by alien anthropologists. But giving it a postmodernist score undermines the maximum rating I can give to actually good movies, so why should everyone get a participation prize? Sorry. 7 t’is.

It's the same that all those 27 dresses, just for one use and only if that day you have no excuse to avoid it. Note: My PSI is 27, that means a) the people who thinks the same about movies that me are very funny to agree all of them in that number. b) The universe has made a joke randomly making them all have that specific average score.

I am glad I didnt have any expectations from this movie. It was just as pathetic I thought it would be. Katheriene Heigl did a relatively better job in "Knocked Up" than this. All's well that ends well, true to every word. You feel well when this is movie is over, with feeling that you wouldnt have to bear this torture any more. Only positive aspect about this movie is Malin Akerman, she sure is hot :)
