You're pulled along by a great tear-jerkin' buddy story with fantastic characters all around, meet a few snags of Bollywood cheese, and realize you just watched a pretty fearsome unschooling movie.

Best 3 hours wasted on an Indian movie. After watched this, my Bollywood love increased and the way i look to our education systems changed.

Must watch. Anytime, Anywhere!

Excellent story! Fun characters! Dramatic and comedic, with some musical elements here and there. Kept me entertained the entire 3 hours.

can be considered as a follow-up to Taare Zameen Par - but taking place in grown up world - but not a worthy followup - more dramatic, more star/aamirkhan centered, unnecessary songs - enjoyable but could have been shorter - not a film that you would miss watching

Uplifting story with a solid message. Well acted and good chemistry with the main cast…good visuals, the melodramatic moments hit just right….much of then humor is a bit juvenile….the songs and dance and well done

An amazingly humorous movie with stellar characters and a setting that allows it to touch on some dark themes without taking the comedy away. Also really, really, REALLY long. Please, for the love of God, just watch it when you're in a good mood, comfortable position, and fully awake because it will be worth it. Though I won't pretend that the movie doesn't have a great deal of Narm Charm with a lot of idealistic but nonetheless heartwarming scenes.

While I found the somewhat preachy tone towards the end of 3 Idiots a bit off-putting, the movie ultimately succeeds in delivering its message with an abundance of humor and heart.

One of the best film of amir's career. I just loved it.

It's a good movie, but the more I rewatch it, the less I like it. Hirani tends to these pat simple answers to complex problems, while avoiding placing blame. The forces that drive and profit from the education system are never questioned, or punished. And the female characters are after thoughts, their concerns not confronted.
