Hulk Hogan was a pointless addition to the series. He was in there because he was Hulk Hogan the same way John Cena is now in kids movies because he's John Cena. The movie, as a whole, other than that...was fine. It was ripping off of Die Hard 2, and all three of the kids were re-cast...but other than that, it's fine.

Abrasively loud, gratingly acted, appallingly directed and without a moral code, this 3 Ninjas also boasts a screenplay with the most groans of the decade, that exquisite sound you make when trying to annihilate another human with your foot or karate.

This is not an abomination unto celluloid, it's just all very underwhelming and uninspiring. The kids are ok, none of them having any particular murder inducing character traits, Hulk Hogan doesn't ham up his part too badly, the bad guys tomfoolery is not foolery enough to cause more than minor irritation. When you know how the film is going to end based on the opening scene, you know you're in for a master class in scriptwriting, it also borrows from Die Hard a little too much for comfort.

I am so glad this franchise stopped. I suppose kids that really, really like the first AND second 3 ninjas movies might draw some pleasure from this but no one else in the right mind should.
